A self-proclaimed preacher arrives in a small town seemingly looking to comfort the widow of a man he once knew in prison, but who has sinister ulterior motives.

The only film made by director Charles Laughton, NIGHT OF THE HUNTER is a kind of dark fairy tale that dips its toes into the noir and horror genres. Featuring stunning black and white photography and a skin-crawling performance by Robert Mitchum, there's no way this film won’t stick with you on your walk home on a cold, October night.
